Research Interests

My research interests span the areas of operating systems, security, networks and mobile systems. Currently, my research group is exploring the design of systems and tools that allow analysis when computer systems are compromised or misconfigured. We are developing a computer forensic system that allows capture, analysis, reconstruction and replay of system activities. Our system helps determine the extent of damage to compromised machines, enables recovery from intrusions, and helps harden systems against future intrusions. The data collected by our system can also help with detecting bugs in software and troubleshooting problems related to system configuration. I am also working on a network infrastructure that is specifically designed for mobile computing applications.
